Project 4- The 3 Amigas!!

In Figure 1, one of the most recognized superstitions in Major League Baseball is the Chicago Cubs and the Billy Goat curse. The photo shows historical Wrigley Field and the man who was not allowed into the park because he had a billy goat. This relates to our mission statement because superstitions in sports can relate to many other things like extracurricular activities in high schools. If there is a lack of extracurricular activities, then there can be a lack in players in on the major league level. The more players the more traditions and superstitions. 

In Figure 2, it shows one of the greatest aspects of extracurricular programs, teamwork. Baseball is one of the many sports and activities that teach students the value of working with others because it is nearly impossible to win when the rest of the team is not supporting.  It also teaches that nobody is perfect. Even the professionals have an off day and it is important to acknowledge that if you win or lose, it is as a team. No single person is personally responsible for the outcome of the game. This concept carries over to most other activities. Football, theatre, music, and volleyball are just a few of the many. All of them are drastically different but all of them have teamwork as a vital part to success.

This advertisement is not only serious and true, but funny as well. This image argues that most drunk drivers will end up in a serious accident while driving under the influence. This is very funny because many people will end up hitting a tree or something. This makes people realize that drunk driving is more serious than people believe it to be. The fact that there is a parking spot reserved for drunk drivers is funny. Also the fact that there is a tree in the parking sport that in order for the person to fit in the spot they would have to have hit the tree. I think that they should put this advertisement out more often because people will not only think it was funny but also important. I liked how they put the yellow for the reserved for drunk drivers because it makes the words pop out and the visual aspect will help make the ad more influential.
